Our Programmes

Resilient Leadership in Corporate Environments

Our Work

Currently, our work is clustered into five programmatic areas which include: Leading for Healing, Capacity Building of Frontline Workers, Mentorship for Black Woman Leaders, Gender-based Violence and Femicide, and Research. Through these drivers and more that we are expanding into, we want to ensure that mental wellness becomes a priority at every level of society.

Leading for Healing

This development programme employs a hybrid model, drawing from the best of counselling and coaching to help leaders increase resilience and improve institutional health and efficacy. Leaders emerge with trauma-informed and courageous leadership skills.

Capacity Building for those on the Frontline

Created specifically for those who work on the frontline in the social justice and social development sectors, this developmental programme cultivates leadership skills, improves resilience and creates healing spaces for personal and work-related trauma.

Mentorship for Black Woman Leaders

This programme offers individual and group mentorship for Women Leaders in the social development and social justice sectors. The content focuses on burnout prevention, stress and trauma management and the cultivation of deeper resilience and leadership skills.

National Strategic Plan to End Gender-Based Violence

MWI is a leading member of the NSP-GBVF Pillar 4 collaborative. Serving as a representative of civil society, MWI works with a diverse collective of stakeholders including government, to operationalise, implement and monitor the efficacy of the National Strategic Plan.

Research

As a research organisation we conduct studies throughout South Africa. Our studies seek to add to the body of knowledge relating to healing, gender-based violence and social justice issues.
